Our Mission:
To improve the lives of people with various forms of skeletal dysplasia by optimizing clinical management.
To improve the lives of people with various forms of skeletal dysplasia by optimizing clinical management.
The Skeletal Dysplasia Management Consortium (SDMC) develops best practice guidances for healthcare providers who treat people with skeletal dysplasia. We use these publications to empower patients with resources to support the management of their diseases.
Not all specialists specialize in managing skeletal dysplasia. We aim to help provide insights to these specialists from our wide breadth of experience supporting people with skeletal dysplasia.
People with skeletal dysplasia will not always be able to see a specialist familiar with their special medical requirements. We provide guidance for general practitioners who may never have treated a person with skeletal dysplasia before.
It is important for people with skeletal dysplasia and their caregivers to have as much information as possible to empower them as advocates for their own healthcare. We aim to provide them with the information they need, when the need it.
